Treasures...Thank you God!

Do you ever just spend a little time thinking about all the ways God blesses you? I am so thankful for the treasures God has allowed me! I want to share a little about three of my cherished treasures in the order I received them!

I call my first treasure Bean (long story) she and I have been the closest of friends my entire adult life! She is very caring, loyal, shy, strong and fragile all at the same time, giving, deep, imaginative, silly, clutzy (sorry I could't leave that out) and she loves God very much. Our friendship started out a couple city girls in a pasture (yes it was the wrong one..but we tried!) We have done so so many things together......silly, crazy, sad, funny, and ornery things of which I have many funny stories (like the flipping of the wal-mart cart). We can laugh for hours, but most of all I love all the memories of just sitting with a cup of coffee and sharing life with her (okay a piece of dessert is awesome too). Thank you Bean for always loving me no matter what! I know we will be friends forever!

I call my second treasure Rudy (which is short for rutibega.....same long story different year) She and I have been friends a great many years also! She is honest, dependable, loyal, smart, content, deep, logical, and practical (which is a foriegn word to me, but it looks good on her). She also loves God very much! We started our friendship coaching together and from day one we just clicked!! She has a way of making the people that hang around her want to be the best they can possibly be! It's her fault as a matter of fact that I am sitting here doing this right now! I have tried many things because of her.... and through our friendship have grown, and felt safe and loved through every stretch! Thank you Rudy for loving me just for me! In spite of all my craziness and lack of brain power! I know that you are always there for me!

And my third treasure is Lettuce (yeah yeah same long story...just another different year). She and I have been friends through so much!! She is giving, dependable, loyal, shy, silly, hip, helpful, unselfish, deep, domestic (another foreign word to me) and fun. She also loves God!! We started our friendship at the deli after work. We also clicked very quickly once I figured out there was so much inside that very quiet tacher down the hall! You have done so much for me I couldn't even begin to type it all! Everything from driving in blizzards in the middle of the night to answering your phone and coming over in the middle of the night and walking my baby when she just needed to move.....and I had no move left! Thank you Lettuce for spending so much of your days and nights making mine better! (and for all the stain free laundry too) I know that we can go months and months and not talk at all....but the second we do that bond isn't a bit weaker! We will always just be!

Many people go through their whole lives without even one forever friend...and I have been given three. I will not ever be wealthy in a monetary way but I am far beyond rich in blessings with these friendships. I thank God for giving us relationships that can withstand even the toughest storms. I love the quote that says don't wait for the storm to pass just learn to dance in the rain....it is so much easier to dance when someone is dancing with you! Thank you all for dancing with me in my joy, my fear, my shame, my hope, my tears, my silliness, my seriousness. my forgetfullness, my craziness, but most of all for being the sisters only God can give! I will always treasure you all!! God Bless you my forever friends!

  2. OK you made Bean smile and cry at the same time. This was perfect timing for my "day after all the fun, now I'm sad" day. You are the best!
